A 10.6mm (GERMAN ORDNANCE) SIX-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL '1879 COMMERCIAL', serial no. 238,
factory refurbished for the commercial market circa 1890, with slightly shortened 6in. tapering two-stage barrel, boat-shaped fore-sight, the top-strap with inlaid signature 'DREYSE SOMMERDA', blued fluted cylinder, blued solid frame with side-safety and swing-out loading gate, polished hammer and trigger, finely chequered walnut grips and provision for lanyard ring (removed), much finish remaining
